Humor Writing and Performance

Life is difficult, but it’s better when you can laugh about it.

Comedy is tragedy plus time. Students will write, workshop, and present a 5-10 minute comedic monologue inspired by their real life experiences. Works and performances from funny people from Mark Twain, Richard Prior to Hannah Gatsby, among others will be explored. Classes will meet on Zoom except for the final class which will consist of a live presentation/performance.
